Graphic Designs

Below are a couple examples of graphic designs I have created using the Adobe products Illustrator and InDesign.

The first example is from my Graphic Design class in which I used Illustrator to create a simplified version of actor Hugh Laurie who plays Gregory House in House M.D.  The idea behind this project was to take a portrait and create simple shapes to make a representation of that portrait using black, white, and various shades of grey.

The second example is from my Visual Communication class. I used InDesign to create this piece. The project was to take a poem, or in my case the lyrics from Eric Church’s “Kill a Word”, and make a design that visually communicated what the words meant. So for this, we used different fonts and styles to create something that was visually coherent as well as showed our creativity using InDesign.
